A Deeper Acceptance: Moving with Chronic Illness

A 5Rhythms movement meditation workshop
with Richard Wiltshire + AIM / dancingTao support
@St Peter’s Church, Tyers Street, Vauxhall, SE11 5HY

This 5Rhythms movement meditation session is an opportunity for those who suffer from chronic illness and chronic pain to move with like-bodied souls where there will be no potential for self imposed expectation or comparison of moving like 'regular' dancers.

In this session we will search out new ways to move with our illness. Dancers will be invited to move with all that chronic illness can bring such as frustration, pain and powerlessness.   By exploring the 5Rhythms together in this way we will have the opportunity to alchemise these challenges into new creative ways of being. Chairs will be provided for the group.

This session is for anyone who suffers from chronic illness or chronic pain.
Some experience of the 5Rhythms would be helpful but is not required.

Suggested Donation £15-£5 or whatever is affordable

This event is supported by 5RRO

This is a donation based event and money should be no barrier to participation. If you cannot afford a donation you are still very welcome at the event. Although any donations that can be made are appreciated as these will go towards supporting future similar events.

Due to the support we have received from 5RRO we can also offer a limited amount of help with transport. So if for example you require a taxi to get to St Peter's church we may able to help cover some or all of the costs.
